When Sarita was planning her wedding look, she knew that she wanted a mix of traditional and rockstar. She had already fallen in love with and bought her gorgeous ivory gown and came to see me to create a headpiece and embellish a jacket to give her the rock twist she was looking for.
My brief for the headband was to create something 'spiky and sparkly', possibly in a mix of different metallic tones. I bought a selection of brooches, earrings and jewellery components for Sarita to choose from. We decided on these black and gold stars with clear crystals attached to a black metal headband that would camouflage in Sarita's dark hair, arranged in a shape that was reminiscent of tiaras but to be worn flat, like a headband.
Once we had decided on the materials and design of the headpiece, we moved on to designing the complementary embellishments for Sarita’s black leather biker jacket. We settled on embellishing the shoulders with two sizes of metal spikes and a mix of four different rhinestone colours to add sparkle. The gold, silver and black diamond matched the colours of the headband, and the dark rose gold matched with some of the wedding décor that Sarita had planned.
On the day, Sarita finished her look with a dramatic ponytail and sparkly boots. Congratulation on your wedding Sarita and Adam. Wishing you many years of love and laughter ahead.
