It's always an honour when a friend asks you to make their wedding dress. I've known Sarah for a long time, and she got in touch at the start of her wedding planning to see if it would be possible for me to make her dress for her, despite us being on opposite sides of the planet!
We decided that choosing a dress from my customisable collection was the best way to go, and Sarah had fallen for my Roxy dress in mother-of-pearl sequins. She opted for custom measurements and a toile fitting to make sure the fit was going to be just right. You can read more about how that process works here. She then added the Sky chiffon overskirt, which she took off for the reception (I love a 'reveal' moment or outfit change at a wedding reception!), and my Mae birdcage veil in white net and red satin. Sarah's red cat's eye glasses and Irregular Choice shoes completed her 50s inspired look. Glenn and his groomsmen all wore my Jett tie in the same red satin as the bow on Sarah's veil.
Red and white are always a stunning colour combination, and when you add iridescent sparkles it become something magical! Congratulations on your marriage Sarah and Glenn and thank you for choosing me to make your dress and accessories.
